I just had lunch with a brother in our church. It was a wonderful time together, and as I said goodbye I left feeling so uplifted and encouraged. Puritan Thomas Brooks said, “Let those be your choicest companions who have made Christ their chief companion.” If you have a friend like that, let him or her know how grateful you are. If not, we’ve got a church full of people to pick from! What can you do to take the first step in making this a reality in your life? I pray that we would be a church where these kind of relationships flourish, where we encourage one another, spurring one another on toward love and good deeds (Hebrews 10:24-25).
